Narrative
Henry DeCastro Williams was born in March of 1900, J.Morton Williams was born in late December of 1901. In 1918 H. D. Williams was probably 18 whereas J.M. Williams would have been no more than 17. In 1918 World War I was in full swing and HDW was a conscriptee (drafted) into the U.S. Army. Apparently too young to be drafted, J.M.W. started his first year at the College of Charleston in anticipation of a degree in engineering. (MW,Jr.)
